For an improved printability & print quality, optical properties and smoothness, high solids content suspensions are applied during the manufacturing of paper and paper boards.
CMC being one of the most important components of those solids, it enhances the paper strength by increasing the fiber to fiber bonding among the cellulose fibers and helps other chemicals function effectively by controlling the rheology of the suspension.
