The company always attaches importance to inorganic growth opportunities. By acquiring Akcoat (Gizem Frit), the world’s leading manufacturer of chemical coating materials, in 2015, Akkim has added value to the white goods, kitchen utensils, oven, enamel, ceramic and glass industries. Akkim acquired Dinox, a chemical sales and marketing company in Germany, in 2017 in order to be close to customers in the European market and to expand its export activities. Akcoat, on the other hand, made an important integration investment by acquiring Megacolor, which manufactures ceramic printing inks in Spain. In 2021, Akkim incorporated USK Kimya, Türkiye’s largest carboxymethyl cellulose manufacturer. In the last quarter of the year, the company established Akkim Silikon Kimya and started the manufacturing of silicone polymers, which are high-tech products, in its Yalova facilities. With Türkiye’s first epoxy resin manufacturing facility, which has been approved for investment and will be commissioned at the beginning of 2024, the manufacturing of a completely imported product with high strategic importance will also be started. Akkim aims to be among the leading players in the field of silicone polymers and epoxy resins on a global scale with its investments in Akkim Silikon Kimya ve Epoksi resin manufacturing facility.
